Peter examines some of the more humorous aspects of married life in the beginning of each seminar and he and Shannon share some funny moments from their own marriage as well. Shannon and Peter teach as a team utilizing couples activities, multi-media presentation and interactive discussion. The focus of each session is always on God's plan for our lives and practical methods to apply biblical principals for a better marriage.
Shannon is a licensed marriage and family counselor (LPC) and the director of the counseling center at Southcliff Baptist Church in Fort Worth, TX. She holds two masters degrees in the fields of counseling and education and teaches part time at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. She is also nearing completion of her Ph.D. in psychology and counseling.
Peter is a professional comedian and a member of the Christian Comedy Association who holds two theology degrees from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He travels and performs regularly at comedy clubs, churches, corporate functions and retreat centers. Peter writes, produces and hosts live comedy shows in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. He is also known as a dynamic speaker in the areas of communication and leadership.
